Hi Octane Racing

2008 Audi RS6 Avant 426kw :D

Recommended Posts

The latest Audi RS 6 Avant supercar will blast into Australia next week, making its Australian premiere appearance at the Melbourne International Motor Show 2008.

Offering blistering performance of 426 kW and 650 Nm of torque from its V10 twin turbo powerplant, this newest addition to Audi’s supercar range will be launched in Australia around August 2008. It completes the sprint from 0 – 100 km in just 4.6 s.

The car will be priced at $259,000 rrp. Highly sought-after for its uncompromising sportscar performance and sheer dynamism, Audi expects to sell more than 40 vehicles in just 4 to 5 months following its local launch in 2008.

Like all Audi RS models developed and manufactured by quattro GmbH, the new RS 6 Avant stands for the ultimate in sportiness, for power and elegant styling, for exclusivity and for impeccable quality. It is the ultimate wolf in sheep’s clothing.

It has become traditional for Audi to unite the dynamics of the RS concept with the highly flexible and practical Avant body shape. The very first Audi RS 2, dating back to the year 1993, was built exclusively as an Avant model, and customers still appreciate this elegantly functional body style.

The new Audi RS 6 will initially be available only as an Avant, offering the unrivaled combination of 426 kW and up to 1,660 litres of luggage space. The RS 6 Avant is genuinely practical for everyday driving, easily swallowing a family, the family pet and copious amounts of luggage or sporting equipment for weekends at home and away.

The RS 6 customer is likely to be a highly successful 45 to 64 year old businessman with a family.

The 2009 RS6 sedan and Avant will both be powered by a twin-turbo 5.2-liter V10 that generates 580 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed gearbox and Audi's Quattro four-wheel-drive system come standard

Last years RS6 has the 4.2 V8 twin turbo and runs 12 flat off pretty uch off the showroom floor a few little tweaks. Will find out what it does with race fuel and a retune very soon :D
